Position Summary: The role of the Project Coordinator is to support, manage and lead projects through the Stage-Gate Process. The Project Coordinator will manage the execution of the tactical plan agreed upon by the team. Additionally, promotes and ensures that project management standards, including tools, milestones, and approvals, are utilized and followed. As an influential analytical person on a day-to-day basis, the Project Coordinator must be adept at anticipating problems, recognizing opportunities, and implementing solutions to achieve best-case scenarios.
Areas of Primary Accountability:
- Day-to-day management of projects.
- Develop effective plans, anticipate problems, resolve schedule conflicts, and look for contingency plans.
- Communicates the status of projects to the project team members and stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Seeks understanding from subject matter experts to gain clarity on complex tasks or situations to drive results.
- Actively engages the critical stakeholders regarding deliverables and timing expectations to support a balanced workload.
- Prepare for and assist with monthly production chemistry and project management meetings.
- Contributes to ongoing process refinements and the creation of new processes.
- Meet all New Product / Project Stage Gate target dates of projects as planned for cross-functional R&D, Regulatory, and Marketing team responsibilities.
- Prepare for and assist with Research & Development annual protocol payments and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Management/Agronomy/Horticulture.
- 2-4 years of experience in project management/product development.
- Specialized knowledge or training: Proficient with project management software, such as Smartsheet and Microsoft Word applications.
- Excellent organizational and report writing skills; excellent public speaking/presentation, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to interact with other departments and collaborate on company-wide efforts positively and constructively.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
