Function
As Head of Agronomic Production, you will define and implement the production strategy for all crops and generations across Europe, ensuring performance improvement and alignment with LFS’s global ambition. You will manage a significant seed purchase budget, lead a multicultural team, and represent Limagrain externally.
Main Goal
- Define and implement agronomic production strategy for all crops and generations to meet business objectives in terms of volume, quality, and cost (COGP).
- Build and monitor mid-term production plans to improve key performance indicators (Yield, Reliability, Quality, COGP).
- Validate crop plans and management rules, including safety ratios, discard levels, and carry-over.
- Drive performance improvement through KPI monitoring and corrective action plans.
- Manage seed purchase budget, prepare financial reviews, and ensure budget compliance.
- Lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Represent Limagrain externally with subcontractors, certification bodies, and trade associations.
What we expect of you
Education: Master’s degree in Agronomy or Agriculture.
Experience: 7+ years in seed production within an international environment, including team leadership and budget management.
Skills: Agronomic expertise, negotiation, financial acumen, change management, and strong leadership. Performance-oriented, you are recognized for your ability to lead, challenge, and develop teams.
Languages: Fluent English required; another European language is a plus.
