POSITION OVERVIEW
Rose Pest Solutions is seeking a Director of Human Resources who will serve as a key member of the executive team. This leader will oversee all core HR functions, enhance current processes, and build programs that support the company’s growth plans, including doubling the employee count in the coming years. The Director will manage HR operations, coordinate training and development, strengthen employee communications, oversee payroll coordination, and own compliance, benefits, and HR systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
People Operations and HR Leadership
- Serve as primary HR leader for the organization and an active member of the executive team.
- Lead employee relations with a focus on approachability, communication, and problem resolution.
- Maintain a consistent professional standard across the company.
- Oversee HRIS management in Paylocity and ensure accurate employee data, reporting, and workflow management.
Recruiting and Onboarding
- Lead companywide recruiting efforts.
- Improve and enhance onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
- Partner with marketing to support employer branding initiatives.
- Manage and mentor a recruiter, anticipated to be hired within sixty days.
Training and Development
- Coordinate all internal training programs across the company.
- Manage the relationship with SkyPrep and track all education and certification activities.
- Lead the creation of a leadership development program to support company performance and high potential employee retention .
- Strengthen the safety program and oversee the Safety Coordinator.
Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll Coordination
- Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, broker relationships, HSA, and COBRA.
- Oversee 401(k) administration, including match tracking and communication.
- Coordinate payroll through Paylocity by gathering hours from PestPac and ensuring accurate uploads.
- Support PTO management, leave management, and related processes.
Compliance and Licensure
- Oversee all compliance activities across multiple states, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Kentucky.
- Own the licensure management process and ensure all employee certifications remain active and documented.
Culture and Engagement
- Strengthen employee communications across offices and maintain consistent messaging.
- Contribute content and updates to the Yodeck office screens.
- Support recognition programs, including Bonusly and the company’s Chiefs Club.
- Assist with company events and culture-building initiatives.
TOP PRIORITIES IN FIRST SIX TO TWELVE MONTHS
- Establish trusted relationships across the company and understand the culture.
- Exhibit an active in-person presence in all branch locations.
- Improve and streamline the companywide training program.
- Build and launch a new leadership development program.
- Strengthen the safety program and overall employee communications.
- Lead the July 1 benefits open enrollment process.
- Hire, onboard, and support a new recruiter.
- Demonstrate strong competency in Paylocity and related HR systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Seven to ten years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience with multistate HR, payroll coordination, recruiting, and employee relations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
- High level of business acumen.
- Experience leading & managing at least one direct report.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in field service, distributed workforce environments, or licensure-driven industries.
- A PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Base salary: $110,000 to $120,000.
