About the Role
Essity is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant who will be responsible for reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position. They will also collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions.
The ideal candidate should/could live in the Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, WI area.

What You Will Do
- Active role in the monthly financial closing cycle, includes reconciling balance sheet accounts, recording journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position.
- Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions
- Assist with internal and external business audits
- Act as a speaking partner for Accounting services providing technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas
- Oversee and approve special procedures in relation to the defined Accounting services
- Provide input regarding needed changes, inefficiencies or other possible issue.
Who You Are
- Accounting Degree preferred
- Ideally 3+ years of accounting experience
- Must be detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with SAP or Power BI a plus
- Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Travel up to 10% of the time (domestic)
