Summary
The Business Manager for the Middle East & Egypt is responsible for leading the region’s commercial strategy, driving sales growth, and ensuring strong execution through effective distributor management. The role oversees the full sales cycle—forecasting, pricing, portfolio deployment, and market development—while maintaining close partnerships with distributors to ensure alignment with company objectives and contractual commitments. In Egypt, the Business Manager directly oversees and coaches the local sales team, ensuring high performance, clear territory management, and strong customer engagement. Across the region, the role builds strategic relationships with key accounts and stakeholders, identifies growth opportunities, mitigates operational and regulatory risks, and coordinates closely with supply chain, finance, and marketing to deliver sustainable business growth.
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Main Responsibilities
- Own the Egypt business model, sales performance, trade marketing and country budget, including strategic planning and credit risk management
- Build and optimize the national distribution network and define the country’s route‑to‑market strategy
- Lead planning & reporting processes, including monthly business plans, monthly reports and quarterly distributor reviews with KPI tracking
- Manage, coach and develop the team to ensure strong capabilities, performance and effective resource allocation
- Drive implementation of FMC initiatives, ensuring compliant business practices across safety, compliance and product stewardship.
- Strengthen commercial effectiveness by improving sales processes, implementing CRM tools and challenging teams for continuous improvement
- Design and execute trade marketing strategies and oversee the rollout of branded shop concepts in Egypt
- Lead operational management and provide strong personal leadership, including target setting, appraisals, and ongoing development
Mandatory Requirements
- 10+ years of sales experience with strong commercial and market orientation
- 5+ years of distribution experience (FMCG, Crop Protection or Retail)
- Excellent customer focus with strong, established customer relationships
- Strategic thinker and effective team leader, experienced in international and multicultural environments
- Proven management and leadership experience, including process and organizational skills
- Strong computer and IT skills (Office, email, CRM and related tools)
- Excellent communication skills and command of English and Arabic
- Agricultural background would be of advantage
