Clarke is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Visualization & Analytics Intern to support the development of interactive dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical tools. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world datasets, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
WORK SCHEDULE AND PAY
- Location: St. Charles, IL
- Duration: Up to 10 months (1500 hours)
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday (40 hours/week)
- Pay Rate: $18/hour
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transform existing datasets into interactive dashboards and visual analytics tools
- Support development and maintenance of dashboards using Power BI and similar platforms
- Clean, organize, and validate datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability
- Assist in developing and testing of APIs that connect data systems to visualization tools
- Perform basic statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA) under guidance
- Help automate data workflows and recurring reporting processes
- Document data sources, workflows, dashboards, and analytical methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and enhance usability
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis and scripting
- Foundational understanding of data visualization principles
- Exposure to tools such as Power BI, R Shiny, or similar (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of statistical methods (e.g. linear regression, multivariate analysis)
- Interest in API development and data integration concepts
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
