Grounds Maintenance Supervisor
Location: March, Cambridgeshire
Hourly Rate: £13.50
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 40 hours a week - Monday - Friday, 07:30-16:00
About the role
We are seeking a motivated
Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in March. The primary responsibility of
this role is to ensure that all designated areas meet high contract standards
through effective hands-on horticultural practices and management. You will play a key
role in creating and maintaining visually appealing landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
·Supervise day-to-day operations and allocate
work to team members.
·Lead by example by undertaking operational
duties alongside the workforce.
·Ensure all work is completed in accordance with
health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
·Monitor productivity and work quality, providing
guidance and support where required.
·Carry out site inspections and safety checks.
·Complete relevant paperwork, records and reports
accurately and on time.
·Liaise with management, customers and
stakeholders regarding operational requirements.
·Ensure vehicles, tools and equipment are
maintained and used correctly.
·Support training and development of team
members.
·Promote a positive safety culture and ensure
compliance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
·Full UK Driving Licence.
·Minimum 2 years' previous experience in a
supervisory or team leader role.
·Good communication and organisational skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a
team.
·Strong commitment to health and safety.
Desirable:
·PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
·Experience within grounds maintenance,
horticulture, landscaping, environmental services or a similar operational
environment.
·First Aid trained.
