What You'll Do:
- Perform thorough pest inspections and treatments for residential and commercial customers across Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, and surrounding areas).
- Manage your daily route independently: Drive company vehicle, apply safe and effective pest control solutions (ants, spiders, bedbugs, mosquitos, rodents, cockroaches, and more), and educate customers on prevention.
- Build lasting customer relationships by providing honest, integrity-driven service—going above and beyond without the pressure of aggressive upselling.
- Meet with customers in their businesses or homes to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services that would give them peace of mind about their pest management
- Maintain accurate records, follow integrated pest management (IPM) best practices, and ensure compliance with Virginia pesticide regulations.
- Collaborate with our small, tight-knit team to deliver exceptional results in a fraction of the corporate chaos.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years experience as a Pest Control Technician at a large company (e.g., Terminix, Orkin, or similar)—we value your expertise in inspections, treatments, and customer interactions!
- Current Virginia Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification
- Desire to lead and train new hires with confidence and clarity.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle use).
- Ability to maintain Virginia Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification (we'll cover costs and provide support for any recertification or transitions).
- Comfortable working independently in the field, managing routes, and engaging positively with customers in homes and businesses.
- Pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Field-Based Adventure: Travel routes in Northern Virginia's beautiful neighborhoods and commercial spots—think Fairfax townhomes to Woodbridge offices. Mostly outdoors/indoor mix and no unnecessary call-outs.

Physical Demands:
- Safely use ladders within manufacturer's weight capacity.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (e.g., equipment or supplies).
- Access crawl spaces, attics, rooftops, and confined areas—climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed.
- Wear PPE.
- Work in varying weather (rainy springs to humid summers—standard for NOVA pest pros).
