Arborist Team Leader
Location: Telford
Hourly Rate: £15 plus overtime potential
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 37 hours, Monday – Thursday 0800 - 1600 and Fridays 0800 - 1530
About the role
As an Arborist Team Leader, you will focus on the day-to-day running of your team; managing the planning and performance of works, and responsible for the supervision, coordination and delivery of arboricultural contracts.
You will have responsibility for the current team, assisting the Arboriculture Manager as required to ensure smooth operations and the highest standards of performance. This includes ensuring all tree works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required standards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Requirements
- All aspects of tree work - CS 30, 31, 32, 38 & 39 tickets are essential.
- Experience in supervising teams and managing their workload & performance.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and risk management.
- Completing risk assessments, plant & vehicle check sheets, conducting daily LOLER and weekly PPE climbing kit checks.
- CS 40 & 41, MEWP & PTI (Professional Tree Inspector) tickets are advantageous but certification and training can be gained in the role.
- Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry certificates are desirable but not necessary, as training can be provided.
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
