Maintenance Technician I
Location: Kansas City, KS
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible with assisting and performing all maintenance duties and other tasks assigned to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to perform/ assist with all industrial maintenance duties, which include but not limited to.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety policies and regulations and maintain a clean organized work area.
- Know how to perform basic Preventative maintenance tasks and procedures and use a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Troubleshooting and repair to mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Installation of facility equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance, carpentry functions, mowing, weed eating, and facility upkeep.
- Communicate professionally with all Co-owners and outside agencies.
- Begin training for a higher level of maintenance skills, which could include mentoring from team members or trade school.
- Ability to obtain operating permit for plant fork truck.
- Ability to operate bobcat and tractor for sweeping the plant and snow removal.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- Basic knowledge of how to use hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn new skills sets that are related to industrial maintenance.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to lift/ carry 75lbs and greater.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- Ability to work in confined space and the ability to work at elevation.
- Ability to work in unconditioned environments, which may include multiple environmental and plant conditions.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
