School Based Grounds Maintenance Operatives
Location: Trowbridge
Hourly Rate: £12.71
Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (6 months) – starting 2nd March.
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 6:30-15:00
About the role
We currently require a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join
our team in Trowbridge, working on the grounds of The John of Gaunt School. You
will keep the grounds of the school in wonderful condition through grass
cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding,
line marking, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and full horticultural
duties as per contracted works.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain
valuable experience, and grow with us in a friendly and encouraging
environment. Training can be provided to upskill the successful candidate.
Requirements
- Previous
working experience within Grounds Maintenance.
- Physically
fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable
with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
- A
full valid UK driving licence is preferable but not essential.
- PA1
and PA6 licences are an advantage but not essential.
- Willing
to undergo a DBS check if not had one completed in last 6 months.
