Payroll Administrator
Location: Coventry HQ / Hybrid (3 days per week in office)
Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £30,400
Working hours: 40 hours, Monday – Friday, 8am to 4:30pm or 9am to 5:30pm
About the role
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Payroll Administrator to support our team at our Head Office in Coventry. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of payroll for our weekly and monthly employees, responding to payroll queries, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure all standards are met.

Role Responsibilities
The role will include, but not be limited to:
- Support the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including starters and leavers.
- Monitoring & managing payroll enquiries from employees, managers and other stakeholders through email and phone.
- Assist with payroll checks, reconciliations and data validation exercises.
- Support pension administration, submissions and employee communications.
- Produce and distribute payroll reports and management information.
- Assist with payroll compliance activities, including statutory and year-end processes.
- Process ExpenseIn administration and uploads.
- Work collaboratively with the People team, Finance and external providers to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
Requirements
- Experience as a Payroll Administrator or in similar roles - able to demonstrate working knowledge of payroll processes.
- Great IT skills (working knowledge of Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with iTrent or similar payroll software).
- Ability to prioritise, be a team player & proactive.
- Good communication skills & comfortable liaising at all levels.
- Attention to detail, with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- CIPP-qualified or planning to gain qualifications would be highly desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable).
